Burton on target

Burton

LONDON, CANA:

JAMAICA international Deon Burton scored for Derby in an important 1-0 win over Everton yesterday which moved them further away from the relegation zone.

Burton netted his fourth goal of the season in the 20th minute, and Derby survived a second-half onslaught to secure a valuable three points.

Meanwhile, Arsenal suffered a damaging blow to their title hopes when they lost 1-0 at Charlton Athletic.

Burton scored after 20 minutes for Derb.

Seth Johnson robbed Thomas Gravesen in midfield and fed Eranio through the inside left channel. The Italian's reverse pass was cleverly dummied by Malcolm Christie on the edge of the box, and Burton strode on to sweep a left-foot shot past Thomas Myhre.
