Anderson defeats Stokes


Anderson

VETERAN sportsman Patrick Anderson was elected the new president of the Jamaica Amateur Athletic Association (JAAA) at the association's annual general meeting held last night at the Life of Jamaica Auditorium in New Kingston.

Anderson, a former president of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), defeated Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation head Christian Stokes.

Anderson polled 71 votes to Stokes' 34.
