Air Jamaica Vacations' 'irie' beach bash

WESTERN BUREAU:

THE SEVEN miles white sandy beach of Negril is set to come alive this week with the staging of Air Jamaica Vacations' beach bash.

The fun-filled roster of activities kicked off yesterday with a Welcome Party 'Fast Talk Live' and autograph signing session with ESPN Motorsports analyst Benny Parsons, at Margueritaville.

Today the attention turns to a Celebrity Volleyball Tournament at the new WAVES beachfront property, followed by 'No Sheets No Eat' toga party and 'Karibbean Karoake Kontest At The 'ville'.

Tomorrow rising Country and Western star Chad Rock is expected to deliver his number one chart stopper Ordinary Life and the song Yes from his newest album.

"Since the release of Chad Brock in 1998, the artiste has gained valuable exposure from live performances, particularly on Alan Jackson's 'High Mileage' tour.

"One of his cuts on Yes, a new-millennium update of A Country Boy can Survive, has already made a substantial impact", said Marcia McClaughlin, public relations manager, Air Jamaica Vacations, Miami, Florida.

The activities will culminate on Friday and Saturday with a jet ski competition, a race that will test speed and skill. Victory Night is set for Saturday night.
