Two-day Portland Jerk Festival later this month

THE PORTLAND community, in association with the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), will be staging the inaugural Portland Jerk Festival, in Boston, from Saturday June 24 to Sunday, June 25.

This event is being staged to celebrate Jamaica's most popular international cuisine and also to highlight Portland, the cradle of our tourist industry and the home of jerked meats.

The festival is to be launched on Wednesday, June 7 at the Boston Jerk Centre, in Portland, with a media familiarisation tour of the area beginning at 11:00 a.m.
