THE West Indies Tobacco Company-sponsored (WITCO) regional full bore rifle shooting tournament for the Singer Cup begins today at Twickenham Park in St. Catherine.
Jamaica who finished third in the three-team competition which was held in Guyana last year, behind Trinidad and Tobago and winners Guyana, are aiming to do much better on home soil.
The competition which ends on Sunday will have three days (today to Thursday) dedicated to individual events. The West Indies team is scheduled to train at Twickenham Park on Friday before the Singer and WITCO Cups are decided on Saturday and Sunday.
TEAMS: Trinidad - Norris Gomez, Clarion Tang Choom, Carl A Wong, Stephen Chung, Kenneth Ng A Fook, John Fong Yew, Jerome Lee, Marc Homer, Michael Perez, Wendell Wong and Indrani Jutagir.
Guyana - Lennox Braithwaite, Leo Ramhalbo, Ransford Goodluck, Derick Naraine, Richard Fields, Dylan Fields, Paul Slowe, Mohammed Haniff, Ryan Sampson, Claude Duguid, Denise Carryl and Mahendra Persaud.
