Armed robbery suspect detained in Clarendon

FOUR PATHS, Clarendon:

THE FOUR Paths police have detained a man and seized a motor car, believed to have been involved in a robbery and shooting incident, following an armed robbery in the Osborne Store area early Friday night.

According to reports, on Friday night three armed men travelling in a motor car held up a business place in the Osborne Store square. They ordered customers to lay face down on the floor while they were robbed of money, and then fired several shots before escaping in the waiting car.

The Four Paths police subsequently seized the get-away car and have taken into custody one man in connection with the incident.

The police have withheld the name of the detainee pending further investigations and an identification parade.
