Band Stand: Highlights of the Jamaica Military Pop Band at the Hope Botanical Gardens.
Jun 5th, 2018 | Category: Entertainment | 4:50In history, music was an integral part of warfare and soldiers’ lives having a twofold role of communication and as a psychological weapon. but as a performing art and as part of Jamaica’s culture, more and more persons have developed an interest in the Jamaica Military Band (JMB). The same goes for the Jamaica Constabulary Band (JCF). The bands' roles are to use music to integrate, develop and continue the service of educating youths through band activities such as the JMB event held every third Sunday of each month at the Shell Band Stand in Hope Botanical Gardens.
